Kansas City Ranks as One of the World’s Most Affordable Housing Markets (Report)

An annual report from Demographia, a housing data reporting company, ranked NASB’s hometown market of Kansas City as the tenth most affordable housing market out of 367 markets in nine countries.

The report measured affordability against median gross income and average home market prices in metropolitan housing markets with at least 1,000,000 residents. Within the United States, Kansas City ranks 58 out of more than 220 markets.

Below is a snippet from the New Geographic analysis of Demographic data:

“Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Rochester had the most affordable housing, with a median multiple of 2.6. Pittsburgh ranked 5th at 2.7. Detroit, Grand Rapids, and St. Louis tied for 6th at 2.8. The tenth-place tie was between Columbus, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, and   Kansas City, with a median multiple of 2.9”
