With Apple Pay, you don't need to open an app. Put your finger on your iPhone's Touch ID™ or double-press the button on your Apple Watch and hold your device near the contactless reader. It will vibrate to signal a successful payment from your NASB card.

Set up is simple

Add your NASB Debit Card to the Wallet app (it came with your phone)* on your eligible iPhone or iPad or Apple Watch. To start using Apple Pay, make sure your eligible device is running iOS 8.1 or higher.  Once your device's software is up to date the Wallet app will appear on your home screen. Simply open the Wallet app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your NASB card and make your first payment.

Paying is easy and secure

  • The first card you add automatically becomes your default payment card, but you can go to your Wallet anytime to pay with a different card or select a new default in Settings.
  • Once you've added your card(s), look for the contactless symbol on in-store card readers at checkout to use Apple Pay.

 

 

 

Apple Pay FAQs

Apple Pay is a service that will allow you to pay for your purchases with your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus at participating merchants by holding your iPhone near a contactless reader. You’ll also be able to pay through certain apps.

Use Apple Pay with iPhone® 6 to pay in stores without swiping your cards and in apps without entering payment and contact information. Pay with a single touch of your finger using Touch ID. Just look for the Apple Pay symbol at checkout.

With Apple Pay, instead of using your actual NASB debit card number, when you add your card(s) a unique Device Account Number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored. And when you make a purchase, the Device Account Number alongside a transaction-specific dynamic security code is used to process your payment. Your actual card numbers are never shared by Apple with merchants or transmitted with payments. In addition, paying with Apple Pay is private, as the cashier never sees your name, card numbers or security codes.
There are several advantages to using Apple Pay. When you use Apple Pay, your NASB card number won’t be stored on your phone or given to the merchant. A unique digital code will be created specifically for that device.
Apple Pay is secure. Your card number is not stored on the device. Instead of using your card number when you add your card, a unique number is assigned, and your Apple Pay is protected by Touch ID® and/or your device passcode. Since you don’t have to show your card to merchants, your name, card number and private account information is protected.
Apple Pay will require an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus or Apple Watch™ to work at participating stores. You may also use the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air® 2 and iPad mini™ 3 to make in-app purchases. While Apple is one of the first to make use of digital account numbers to enable secure mobile payments, digital account numbers will likely become available on additional connected devices in the future.
NASB does not charge a fee for Apple Pay. However, Apple Pay does require an active data plan in order to work, so third party message and data rates may apply. These include fees your wireless carrier may charge you for data usage and text messaging services. Check with your wireless carrier for details regarding your specific wireless plan and any data usage or text messaging charges that may apply.
The wallet app stores your debit card for use with Apple Pay. Wallet already stores boarding passes, tickets, coupons, and now it can store your debit card information as well. If the card you’d like to use with Apple Pay is already on file in iTunes, you can quickly add it to wallet by opening wallet and entering the three-digit card security code from the back of your card. To add a new card into wallet, go into Settings, open wallet & Apple Pay, and select “Add Credit or Debit Card.” On the iPhone, you can also open the wallet app directly, then swipe down and tap the plus (+) sign. From there, you may use your phone’s camera to instantly capture your debit card information or follow the instructions to add your card data manually. The card you had stored in iTunes is your default payment card, but you have the option of switching it to another debit card or credit card in Settings. Once your card is loaded successfully, a card image similar to your actual card will appear in Passbook along with a message saying that your card is ready for Apple Pay. The first card you add to wallet automatically becomes your default card. This is the card that will appear when you use Apple Pay at a contactless payment reader when checking out. To change your default card to your NASB debit card: (1) go to Settings, (2) select wallet & Apple Pay, (3) tap your NASB debit card

To change your default card to your NASB debit card right before making a purchase, follow these instructions. As you hold your Apple Pay device over the contactless payment terminal, your default card will be displayed at the top of the screen and your other cards will appear stacked at the bottom. If you would like to use your NASB debit card as your default card to make the purchase, simply tap on the stack of cards at the bottom of the screen to view your other cards. Then select your NASB debit card to pay with, and use your fingerprint or passcode to complete the purchase. If your card does not appear in the stack of cards, it means the card has not yet been loaded to wallet.
To remove a card from Apple Pay, simply select the card in wallet and click on the wallet info icon in the bottom corner to view the back of the card. Scroll to the bottom to find the “remove card” option. After deleting, you can re-add this card to Apple Pay at any time.
To initiate an in-store transaction using Apple Pay, hold your iPhone about an inch from the merchant’s contactless reader. The digital account information stored on the device will be transmitted directly to the contactless reader. To complete the transaction, gently press your finger against the Touch ID fingerprint scanner on your iPhone. Your fingerprint is used to make sure that you are authorized to complete the transaction. Apple Pay can also be used for in-app purchases on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3. Again, you use the fingerprint scanner on your device to verify your purchase.
For in-store contactless payments, you do not need to be connected to the internet.
Adding your debit card to Apple Pay is your choice; you can add or remove any of your cards when needed. You should always remove your card(s) before allowing someone else to use your iPhone.

If your Apple device is lost or stolen, use “Find My Apple Device” to quickly suspend or remove your digital account numbers from the respective device.
When selling or giving away your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, be sure to delete all digital accounts in Apple Pay. Alternatively, you may reset your phone to factory settings, which will also remove all digital accounts.
Whether you use a digital account number or a physical card, you are protected against fraudulent transactions.
